He is hard-working, smart, understands clients and helps solicitors produce the best result for clients”, and that “Derek was amazing to work with and I would happily instruct him again”. The Legal 500 recognised Derek as a Leading Junior in commercial disputes in their 2023 and 2024 editions. In 2024, feedback included that “Derek is extremely smart and articulate. He is also hard working. However, what instructing solicitors appreciate most about Derek is his common-sense and commerciality – this sets him apart as a true star amongst his colleagues”
