Hugo accepts briefs in all areas of law. He specialises in corporate and commercial disputes, regulatory disputes and investigations, and corporate crime.
He was admitted as a solicitor in 2015 and called to the Bar in 2025. He was previously a Senior Associate at Allens in Sydney, a judicial assistant at the High Court of England and Wales, and a solicitor at MinterEllison and in England.
Hugo is a reporter for the New South Wales Law Reports. He has taught as a visiting lecturer at the University of Law (London) and a tutor in Commercial Remedies at the University of Technology, Sydney.
Hugo holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University, and a Master of Laws (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics, where he came first in his year
