Melanie Cairns is a leading senior junior in commercial law at the NSW Bar. Her expertise includes equity & trusts, contract, corporations law, insurance, intellectual property, professional indemnity and real property.

Melanie has co-chaired the NSW Bar Diversity and Equality Committee and sits on a Professional Conduct Committee. She has a Master of Laws (Corporate & Commercial) and Bachelor of Arts/Laws from UNSW, where she has also lectured in undergraduate and postgraduate law.  She is a member of the NSW Supreme Court Equity Division's Consultation Group chaired by his Honour Justice Hammerschlag CJ in Eq.
