Admitted to practice in 2000 and called to the bar in 2011, Patrick has broad experience in commercial and regulatory disputes. His practice has a particular focus on financial services regulation, market misconduct and consumer protection matters, and a substantial class actions component. It also extends to commissions of inquiry, Patrick having recently acted for the Star Entertainment Group Limited in the major commissions of inquiry into its casino operations in NSW and Queensland.

Before coming to the bar, Patrick practised for a decade as a solicitor at Allens, in its litigation and dispute resolution group, where he acted for a diverse range of clients.

Patrick combines intellectual rigour with a practical attitude and a strategic approach to disputes. With his extensive prior experience at a leading law firm, he understands the commercial imperatives of solicitors and clients.  He is responsive, flexible and collaborative with those instructing him.
