High Court decision on pelvic mesh class action

Last Friday, the High Court declined an application by Ethicon and Johnson & Johnson Medical for special leave to appeal from a Full Court decision upholding judgments against companies in the group in relation to pelvic mesh devices found to have been defective. The decision enables more than 11,000 group members to pursue claims for damages against the companies. Zoe Hillman was a member of the team acting for the lead applicants and group members. Derek Wong was a member of the team acting for the Ethicon / Johnson & Johnson group companies.
